Víctor e Sara una volta credevano di avere tutto. Si amarono con un’intensità che raramente si ripete nella vita, ma si ferirono anche a vicenda. La loro storia finì con un divorzio che li lasciò spezzati, costringendoli a ricostruirsi separatamente.

Ora cercano di andare avanti, raccogliendo i pezzi di ciò che erano e adattandosi a un presente in cui non sono più «noi», ma due estranei con un passato condiviso. Ma, quando i loro cammini si incrociano di nuovo, i sentimenti sepolti riaffiorano. La nostalgia si mescola al dolore, il desiderio si scontra con la paura e l’amore si veste di risentimento.
